Online publication of new accreditation application forms for inspection bodies

Inspection

As announced in the last Accreditation and Inspection forum on 3 July, in response to the expectations of the inspection bodies polled in the satisfaction survey conducted in 2017, the Inspection section published on 12 November new accreditation application forms (INS FORM 01 and INS FORM 86).

Two forms have been simplified following harmonisation work conducted by a working party mobilising stakeholders from all Cofrac's divisions. The sought objective was to retain only the information that is useful for examining the application and for preparing the assessment arising from it.

These forms have, moreover, been designed with the digitisation of their content in mind, a case in point being the recently deployed e-folio application, enabling the fully paperless treatment of the reports produced when assessing bodies.

It is therefore when these forms are digitised that the simplification will become fully apparent, since the development of our IT tools will make it possible to ask candidates solely for the information that is useful at the current stage of examination of their application, something that is not currently achievable with forms in Word format.

The third form (INS FORM 62) has been removed and will be made optional from 2019 following a "facelift", so that it can serve as a genuine self-diagnostic tool for the accreditation candidate.

Cofrac is definitively on track to the digitisation of its processes and the provision of new services. Watch this space…
